Gospel Reggae ‘Confessions’ makes track of the month

Gospel Reggae is a hit and miss market at the moment, let alone the possibility of breaking into it. So when DJ Keziah chose Confessions as Track of the Month on her Reggae Royalty Show, it humbled me. DJ Keziah Job features the latest stomping Gospel Reggae tracks, Mondays 9-10 pm on UGN JAMZ. For those who miss it, the Monday show repeats on Tuesdays 8-9 pm and Wednesdays 1-2 pm. She delivers with a passion both for the music and for the Gospel.

Come January each year, Keziah chooses her favourite track of the month. She gives her monthly choice a weekly boost allowing listeners to really familiarise with the song and the artist. However, this wasn’t the only good thing that happened for Confessions at UGN Radio. Prior to DJ Keziah’s choice of Confessions, another DJ happened to choose Confessions in another category.

Gospel Reggae is Track of the week

Amidst the other genres, radio manager Dave P chose Confessions as track of the week for his early morning breakfast show. I think this means that Confessions is now a part of the official playlist at UGN Radio, woohoo! Dave P hosts the breakfast show Mondays to Thursdays from 7 till 10 am and 7 till 9 am on Fridays. He plays a mixture of Gospel hip hop, R n B and Soul music. Make sure to tune in and listen out for Confessions amidst these other genres he features.

Confessions tell the story of a man who realises and acknowledges the state of his soul after viewing his backyard. Though the song offers confessions of error, it simultaneously offers confession of faith. Read more about the story of how I came to write Confessions here. Daniel Hartley Music released the track 4 October as a single and Feiyr.com distributes it on all digital platforms.

Access UGN JAMZ (Urban Gospel Network Radio) in the TuneIn app on iOS or Android or stream it from their website at http://www.ugnjamz.com/. Remember Gospel fans, tune into the mix of hip hop, RnB, soul and afro beats as well as Gospel reggae. If you can’t wait, listen to Confessions here:
